For the third year in a row, some Nina Hale Inc. employees attended the Best Places to Work 2013 event hosted by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.

 Best Places to Work 2013

Today a group of Nina Hale Inc. employees had the honor of attending the Best Places to Work 2013 event hosted by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.  This was the third year in a row that NHI placed in the top 30 of the small company category (10-100 employees). The results were culled from independent employee surveys through Quantum Workplace, and awards went to the top-ranked companies. The surveys asked employees to answer 37 questions on topics including how things work on a day to day basis, work environment, and overall employee satisfaction.

The event started with a cocktail hour accompanied by sponsor booths, including a wine and chocolate tasting booth and a photobooth. The NHI team happily participated in both! During the event, nominees had to abide by the “three free words” rule. This means that during acceptance speeches every word after the first three would be a $5 donation to Habitat for Humanity. The best acceptance speech would have to go to the All Around Property Preservation group who, in the interest of charity of course, ended with a cheeky promotion for their company.

From team building trips to Mexico and Jamaica and dogs in the office to bake offs and best shoes contests, there were many ways to recognize employees and in turn create a notable company culture. This Best Places to Work crowd was impressive!

However impressive, we here at NHI certainly fit in with this group. We are treated to a gorgeous view of Minneapolis, have a life-sized horse lamp to greet us daily, and enjoy perks like our annual State Fair trip, holiday party at Bryant Lake Bowl, segway tours, a hotel/vacation lottery, our Quatro de Mayo party (Friday just refuses to fall on the fifth), and more. But perhaps most importantly we work with crazy talented, creative, and hard-working people who know how to play hard and work even harder.

This all combines to create an environment where people feel comfortable and employees can realize their full potential to produce the best results. We were in good company at the Best Places to Work event and are looking forward to another year of fun and success!
